After a taxing 118-day strike, the Screen Actors Guild honored the best performers in film and television at the 30th annual SAG Awards.

Winners were determined by SAG-AFTRA members, who vote for their favorites across a number of categories.

Lily Gladstone beat Emma Stone and Margot Robbie to earn the coveted Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her work in Killers Of The Flower Moon.

Lily teared up as they began her moving acceptance speech in her native Blackfoot language before saying: ‘My friends, fellow actors, I feel the good in what you have done — what you do.

‘This has been a hard year for all of us. Those in this room, those not in this room, I’m so proud that we have gotten here in solidarity with all of our other unions.’

Oppenheimer was the biggest winner in the film side as it earned top honor Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture over American Fiction, Barbie, The Color Purple, and Killers Of The Flower Moon.

Cillian Murphy was recognized for his fine work in the blockbuster film as he earned top honor Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role.

Kenneth Branagh accepted the final award of the night on behalf of his castmates as he touched on their walkout of the red carpet when the SAG strikes began last year as he said: It was last year in July we had the premiere and did the red carpet.

The awards come just months after SAG-AFTRA struck a deal with film studios following a months-long strike with pay in the streaming era and artificial intelligence top issues of concern.

The strike began on July 25, 2023 and a tentative deal was struck on November 8. It formally ended on December 5, 2023 with a 78% yes in voting.

Despite disagreements over the final deal, the outcome was a huge relief for union leaders and the entertainment industry following a grueling few months of strikes.

The boycott coincided with the WGA strike, which lasted from May 2 to September 27.
